March Madness is starting in a few weaks!!! Wondering who people think will win it all.
Top Seeds in my oppenion(chances to win it all):
1. Memphis(10%)-They were a minute away from going undefeated then colapsed and lost to Tennesee, still I think they are are a better overall team then the Volls come tournament time.
1. North Carolina(9%)-Strong alll around team with a good bench, but it seems to me they lack the playmakers to compete for a title, Hansbrough is a beast, but Lawson's health concerns me.
1. Kansas(14%)-Kansas is loaded both in the starting lineup and bench, they have expiriance and play fantastic defence, they have had some wierd looses to bad teams latley, but look for them to be focused come tournoment time
1. Tennessee(7%)-Tennessee is a solid all around team, but they are not particurarly athletic and often tend to settle for treys, they have the number 1 streangth of scheduale but to me they only have one impressive win at Memphis(although I still think Memphis is the better team)
2. UCLA(5%)-Kevin Love is a beast, but I don't think this is the best UCLA team we have seen in recent years. That being said other then a couple of shaky performances latley UCLA has looked great and currently holds the second most wins vs RPI top 50
2. Duke(7%)-They have allot of very good players, but no great players, still coach K knows how to coach tournoment time and if not for the last 5 minutes of their last game vs N.C. they could be the number 1 team in the land right now
2. Texas(6%)-Texas has been up and down all year, they have some impressive wins and hold the most in the country against RPI top 50(11-4), but I doubt that a team lead by 2 guards with no real inside presence can win the entire tournement
2. G-Town(4%)-I think this team is worse then last years squad, yes they only have 4 losses, but I fail to see any amazing wins, Hibbert is solid but he has yet to proove he can take over games.
3.Louisville(5%)-Louisville is a solid all around team which tends to go on streaks, they have been very good against top cometion(9-3 vs RPI top 50) and if they get hot could end up winning it all
3.Xavier(4%)-Xavier is an amazing defense team, with good all around play on the offensive end. They could be a sleeper to win it all come tournoment time.
3.Stanford(4%)-They have great inside big men which should give them the edge rebounding wise against most teams, yet they have struggled agaisnt beasts such as Kevin Love.
3.Wisconsin(3%)-They hold a win agaianst Texas, but other then that their scheduale really dosen't impress me. The fact that they got blown out by 24 against Duke really makes me scepticale about their chances to win it all.
4.UConn(3%)-UConn is extremly young, and has some solid big men. They have some wins against top competition, but I'm not so sure that they are mature enough to play well consistantly. They can't play with teams that will make them run but if they get a favouroble draw and get hot could have a chance.
4.Michigan State(2%)-Tom Izzo is a great coach but this is far from his best team. This team has been inconsistant and lousy against top competition, but with a Tom Izzo squad you never know, they could get hot.
4.Vanderbilt(3%)-Other then a win against Tennessee they haven't particularly impressed, but then again they did beat the top team in the RPI.
4.Drake(1%)-I don't have anything against mid majors, but this one really dosen't impress me. I watched them play a couple of times but can't really say that anything stood out. They are somehow 6-1 against RPI top 50 but I really can't find any amazing wins, while their losses scare me.
