don't talk to me about the 2002 world cup. a German defender committed a handball in the box, not just in the box, on the goal line. nobody talks about. what was the score. 1-0? fucking Germany my fucking asshole.
USA is legit in soccer. and will win a world cup in our lifetime. never, ever doubt FREEDOM.

Africa is overrated. The Western European press sees players in the EPL and assumes it translates to the international game, but many of the "world class" players in the EPL from Africa don't even play for their countries. Africa is overrated. They're getting better, but their federations are so screwed up that an African team won't win the WC for at least another 50 years. Same with Asia.

Germany/Argentina/Brazil/Italy are tied for best teams in the world right now. In our lifetime is about 15 or so World Cups...I don't see it happening. With the African Emergence, the superiority that every nation thats already better has, and the fact that countries like Brazil and Argentina where Soccer is #1, i don't see the USA making the final 4 of any world cup anytime soon.

Didn't Germany get the breaks beaten off of them last WC.
It doesn't matter officials are so bias toward other teams in the WC it's crazy. I'm not saying America would win the World Cup if not for the officiating, I'm saying it's easy to see that other countries get calls like Duke and UNC do in B-Ball, when they compete against the US.

They lost 2 - 0 to Italy in the semi-finals. Then beat Portugal 3 - 1 for the Bronze. Blown calls happen all the time, Refs aren't less or more biased towards the US.

Clearly not. But in soccer you have just one ref to monitor a pretty large playing area, and even offside decisions - among the most important in soccer since they usually decide on top scoring opportunites - are tough to see in replays sometimes.
And if your jealous of the germans, just copy them: they win with defense, and discipline. I don't think you can say that Germany has great individual players. No ronaldinho, no Messi, not even a Drogba. ok, Ballack can play some, but you know what I mean.
But they have a TEAM and a CONCEPT, and thats what makes them winning. I just read an article how their preparation for the WC06 did look like, and it had an unbelievable amount of professionalism, up to GPS tracking of player movement and alike.
I think in Austria we're ten years behind them in that regard ... and that diff is growing.

They have exceptional solo players like Kuyt, Ballack, Metzelder, Klose and others i can't think of right now. They play exceptional defense and have a beautiful way with the ball.

Klose? The next defender he will dribble around with the ball will probably be his first this year. He has a phantastic skill: being there where it hurts, as most of his goals are from closest distance. Agreed, NOW they do have high skilled talent at many positions too: Lahm, Schweinsteiger, Friedrich, Jansen, Gomes. But believe me, before the 2006 tournament this was a very young team - nowhere near the skill you see now - that had just 2 things in their favor: being a perfectly run TEAM ... and homecourt. And still needed a lot of luck to go that far: first, they had one of the easiest schedules, reaching the quarter finals by beating Ecuador, Costa Rica, Poland and Sweden (not exactly among the top nations), then in the quarters they were literally handed the game by Argentina (*), they lost in the semis to Italy, and won the irrelevant game for 3rd (Portugal didn't really care ...) So like in 2002, when the Germans beat (in order) Saudi Arabia, Ireland, Cameroon, Paraguay, the US (sorry, you weren't a soccer power back then), and South Corea to reach the WORLD CUP FINALS (probably the easiest road to the finals EVER), it was more of who they DIDN't have to play than who the DID. No, I do not like those guys at all ... (*) if you're interested (or even remember), Argentines led 1-0, Germany was completely outplayed ... and 20 minutes from time the Argentinian coach substituted Riquelme - and all offensive creativity since Messi didn't even play ... and the rest is history. Germans get the equalizer shortly before the end, Argentinia doesn't have another scoring opportunity, and finally loses in the penalty shootout. One of the worst coaching choke jobs in recent WC history)

Every top team in the world has top goalies though. Brazil has 3 who could start at any time. Italy has 3 and Argentina has a couple too.
