The East has always been home to the LBA's Top Team for the Majority of the Leagues' history. 14 out of 20 years the title has been claimed for the east. It seems to be a trend of East domination with the occasional West team popping up every now and then, and this season is no different. The East has a 92-80 record this year facing the West. Only five teams have losing records when facing the western teams: The Bulls, Hawks, and Pacers are among the top 4 worst teams in the league, The Hornets are among the top 10 worst teams in the league, and the only shocker is the Cavs losing 8 of 12.
Boston: 6-5 vs. West
Heat: 12-4 vs West
Nets: 7-6 vs West
Knicks: 10-4 vs West
Magic: 6-4 vs West
6ers: 6-5 vs West
Bullets: 7-3 vs West
Hawk: 3-9 vs West
Hornets: 2-7 vs West
Bulls: 2-8 vs West
Cavs: 4-8 vs West
Pistons: 7-6 vs West
Pacers: 4-6 vs West
Bucks: 8-2 vs West
Raps: 8-3 vs West
It also doesn't help that one of the Wests' most prestigious GMs recently re-signed from the league. It seems the west loses GMs as often as third world countries loose children by way of adoption via Angelina Jolie or Madonna.
Because of the Wests' GM turn-over rate, it has led me to ponder if the Easts' success is do to the Veteran GMs and their knowledge of the game.
It seems the East has the more solid group of GMs. The west has their solid veterans too, the Twolves, Jazz, Grizz, and Suns have been around for many season. However you can't Deny that the East has been the league's perennial power house for the majority of the leagues history. The west may win one or two titles in the next 10 years, but as for conference domination, it won't happen. Why, you you ask. Because the East is just simple better. Better and more dedicated GMs, equal better teams, equal more cohesive teams, equal better records, equal the East making the West it's BIOTCH.
To be honest until the West steps up their GMing, they'll always be second best. I take that back They'll always be second best, they just may improve their chances at getting the occasional title. It seems the Western GMs are happy with mediocrity.
I actually thank the west is either two lazy or scared to respond to this article, because they know it's true and don't have any idea what to say about it.
So until I'm proven wrong, the West can take their make believe contenders back to their weak conference (where they dominate, and because of this domination of a less than decent conference they think they have a shot at the title), and dwell in your happiness of being second tier. Because you know when you step across that imaginary line segregating the East and the West, you get your butts spanked and sent home with your tail between your legs. Oh yeah, we also dominate you in your houses. Or you can get serious and do something about it, but that's just funny thinking you could actually do something about it.
