Levels of bad GM'ing (76ers/Hornets)

76ers get
Jerome James
Maurice Evans
Jonathan Bender
Sonics 05 1st
Nets 04 1st

Hornets get
Corey Maggette


Did I just secure my perennial spot in the pantheon of bad GM choices even more, or is there finally some light at the end of the tunnel ?

I love Corey Maggette. Hes playing extremely well statistically speaking on a team with other studs.

Nets 1st is going to be late lotto in a draft where the guy isn't going to be much if anything.

The only way i see this deal going bad for you is if i don't resign Redd.

Neither of those firsts will be good lottos. So I actually think it's pretty good for the Hornets.

But 76ers are rebuilding, so a pretty solid deal both ways IMO.

i like it for both too.

The sixers get a few assets for rebuilding that could very well be greater in sum than Maggette. But we had enough depth and were lacking a quality SG for some time.

I think it's slightly better for Hornets. I am not particularly sure either pick will be lotto and none of the players have anywhere near the talent of Maggete, but than again if both picks become lotto could be better for 76rs.

I don't like it Hornets to be honest, you may have screwed the pooch on this one. I think the bigger picture is if the Sonics 05 will be a golden pick seeing as how they don't have a pick this year. I don't think Maggette will be the type of player that can out play two guys, meaning.

Worst case senario you get: Delonte West this draft and next year who knows, but we'll go with Bynum.

Delonte will at least get you 10ppg and 7apg with 1.3 spg, if Bynum gets 17ppg and 9 boards with 1.5 blocks, then the two combined are doing more for you then Meggette who will demand more cap space. Only major star are worth multiple lotteries. IMO
